Position Title: Customer Service Representative
Job Category: Patient Services
Job Overview:
This role is for a PRN (as needed) position within our Emergency Department. Candidates must possess full availability to work across all shifts as required. Weekly hours will vary, with schedules posted a month in advance. Initial training will consist of full-time hours for 4-5 weeks, primarily on 1st and 2nd shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients in the Emergency Room check-in process, ensuring a smooth and efficient registration experience.
- Engage with patients in a compassionate manner, addressing their concerns and inquiries while collecting necessary information accurately.
- Utilize technology effectively, managing multiple screens and programs to input patient data in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain composure and professionalism while navigating interruptions from clinical staff for urgent care needs.
- Provide support to patients who may be anxious or unwell, fostering trust and rapport through attentive listening and follow-up questions.
- Work collaboratively with a dedicated team, contributing to a supportive workplace culture focused on career development.
Work Environment:
This position involves a dynamic work setting, often requiring mobility to assist patients with mobile registration. The role demands adaptability to varying health plans and coverage details, which will be covered through training.

Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
