We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dental Billing Manager to join our team at Marin Community Clinics. Key Responsibilities- Lead and supervise the dental billing team, focusing on dental billing processes and dental-specific coding practices.
- Oversee the assignment of dental billing tasks, ensuring all dental billing activities are completed accurately and timely.
- Conduct performance evaluations for dental billing staff, providing coaching on dental billing and coding practices.
- Ensure the accurate and timely submission of dental claims to insurance payers, including Medicaid, Medicare Advantage (Part C), and private dental insurers.
- Monitor and manage accounts receivable specific to dental services, including tracking unpaid dental claims and resolving dental claim denials.
- Collaborate closely with the payment posting team to ensure accurate and timely posting of payments for dental treatments.
- Conduct regular audits of dental coding to ensure compliance with the latest CDT codes and payer-specific dental guidelines.
- Stay informed of changes in dental billing regulations, CDT code updates, and payer policies affecting dental claims.
- Implement corrective actions to address any dental billing errors or compliance issues, ensuring accurate coding for dental procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Certification in dental coding and billing (e.g., Certified Dental Coder, Certified Dental Billing Specialist) is preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in dental billing, experienced in a supervisory or leadership role within a dental billing department.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing dental accounts receivable and improving dental billing processes.
We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 to $102,000 per year, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, dental and vision insurance, and a retirement plan.
