POSITION SUMMARY:


The Firearms Retail Specialist is tasked with delivering exceptional Counter Sales and Customer Service for Firearms, in addition to assisting with the sales of various Hunting Merchandise.

This role involves engaging in a range of selling and customer service activities, including warmly greeting all customers and providing them with timely assistance, handling merchandise with care, and offering valuable information and guidance.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


Demonstrates a strong commitment to providing world-class customer service, ensuring a pleasant and productive shopping experience for every visitor. This includes:
- Delivering a legendary experience for each customer by assisting them in making informed purchasing decisions by:
- Identifying and assessing customers' needs,
- Making tailored product recommendations based on this assessment,
- Promoting various programs, including CLUB membership and In-Store Pickup options.

Ensures that all necessary forms are completed accurately and thoroughly.
Possesses the ability to effectively demonstrate products to customers.
Maintains an organized and well-stocked sales area within the retail store, particularly at the Gun Counter.
Replenishes merchandise on shelves according to merchandising guidelines.
Stays informed about product knowledge through ongoing training.
Remains aware of current promotions and maintains accurate pricing and signage.
Assists with seasonal merchandise displays.
Keeps the work area clean, organized, and well-supplied.
Adheres to all company policies and procedures.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Degree Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience: 0-2 years in Retail
Must be at least 21 years of age

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
Knowledge and experience in Firearms and Ammunition products
Familiarity with ATF Federal and State Regulations
Customer Service and Sales expertise in Firearms and Ammunition

GCA
Ability to merchandise and stock products effectively

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
N/A

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Constantly stand and/or walk during shifts
Occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, ramps, etc.
Constantly communicate with others to exchange information
Occasionally repeat motions that may involve wrists, hands, and/or fingers
Occasionally operate machinery and/or power tools
Occasionally operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment
Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds frequently, and occasionally lifting objects up to 100 pounds or more (with assistance as needed)
Occasionally work in tight or confined spaces
Occasionally work in noisy environments

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:
Performs tasks and responsibilities under general supervision, utilizing established procedures and innovative thinking. Occasionally requires independent judgment to complete assignments. Frequently makes recommendations regarding work procedures, policies, and practices.
