We are seeking a Water Safety Specialist to join our team at the YMCA of The Inland Northwest. As a key member of our aquatic staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our members and guests in the pool area.

Job Summary

This is a part-time position working up to 40 hours per week. As a Water Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and welcoming environment in the pool area. This includes:

  • Patrolling the pool deck and observing pool activities
  • Providing assistance to swimmers and responding to emergencies as needed
  • Conducting lifeguard duties, including rescue operations and first aid
  • Maintaining equipment and facilities to ensure a safe and clean environment
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A current certification in lifeguarding and CPR/AED from the American Red Cross
  • At least 15 years of age
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
Compensation

Location
