Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Dormitory Supervisor to join our team at the Woodland Job Corps Center. As a key member of our residential program, you will be responsible for creating a safe and supportive living environment for our students, while also providing guidance and support to help them achieve their academic and career goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Student Support and Guidance: Foster a positive and inclusive living environment, provide guidance and support to students, and address any concerns or issues that may arise.
  • Supervision and Oversight: Supervise daily activities within the dormitory, monitor student behavior, and enforce center rules and policies.
  • Crisis Intervention: Respond to and manage crisis situations, coordinate with appropriate staff and authorities as needed, and implement emergency procedures to ensure student safety.
  • Collaboration with Counseling Services: Collaborate with counseling and support services to address the unique needs of students, participate in programs designed to enhance student personal development, and facilitate activities that promote a sense of community and camaraderie.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of student attendance, incidents, and other relevant information, and prepare reports as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited school (including at least 15 semester hours in Social Services-related instruction) required.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in counseling or a related field and a minimum of two years working with youth and young adults.
  • Prefer previous Job Corps or related program experience.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License and meet company insurability requirements.
