strongJob Title:/strong Correctional DentistbrbrpWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Correctional Dentist to join our team at GEO Corrections & Detentions. As a Correctional Dentist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, including routine cleanings, fillings, and extractions./pbrbrpKey Responsibilities:/pbrbrulbrliInitiate and maintain compliance with company policies for accreditation./librliComplete an initial dental screening on all new commitments within seven (7) days./librliEvaluate patients needing or applying for dental care./librliTake impressions for dental plates and send prostheses to outside dental labs./librliFormulate and create individual treatment plans after a thorough exam./librliPerform routine cleaning, drilling, filling, and extraction of teeth following National Commission for Correctional Health Care Standards for dental care./librliTeach about diet, flossing, use of fluoride, and other aspects of dental care./librliPrescribe pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens to treat identified and documented dental conditions./librliProduce clear and concise health records, reports, and correspondence, including the use of Electronic Health Records system./librliMaintain supplies and equipment inventory./librliProvide in-service training for health staff members (dental hygiene, dental care, dental emergencies, and techniques)./librliSupervise professional, technical, and administrative staff./librliCollaborate with the Hospital medical team, Psychiatric, Mental Health Professionals, Nurses, Health Technicians, and Administrative Assistants./librliMaintain professional and technical knowledge (attend workshops/seminars/conferences, review professional publications, etc.)./libr/ulbrbrpRequirements:/pbrbrulbrliDegree in dentistry from an accredited dental school required./librliLicensed to practice as a registered dentist in the state in which the facility is located is required./librliProfessional license must remain on file at all times at the facility where services are rendered./libr/ulbrbrpWe offer a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
