Job Summary

The Pictsweet Company is seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to oversee the management of our manufacturing department during an assigned shift. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating departmental activities with other managers and supervisors to ensure production meets budget, scheduling, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality and Food Safety: Ensure and monitor all quality and food safety systems in place for the production of quality products manufactured under clean and safe conditions.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with all regulations relating to food safety and personnel safety, including FDA, USDA, OSHA, and TOSHA.
  • Production Scheduling: Coordinate production scheduling with management, warehouse, quality control, and maintenance personnel.
  • Production Monitoring: Monitor production lines and direct daily production schedules. Visually inspect work areas and production equipment, ensuring equipment operates properly and notifying maintenance if repairs are needed.
  • Associate Management: Monitor, train, and evaluate hourly associates, providing counsel as necessary.
  • Performance Evaluation: Monitor and evaluate production performance to ensure performance standards are met. Adjust product, manpower, and equipment resources as needed.
  • Corrective Action: Implement corrective action when process deviations occur in accordance with the facilities HACCP program and notify appropriate personnel.
  • Cost Control: Control costs, operate within budget parameters, and maintain appropriate production records and statistical reports.
  • Communication: Communicate frequently with plant management regarding production, anticipating and resolving problems.
  • Food Safety Audits: Assist in both internal and external food safety audits. Conduct food safety and personnel safety training.
  • Emergency Response: Serve on the Emergency Response Team and serve as a first responder to accidents, participating in all required meetings.
  • Timekeeping: Assist in timekeeping and learn appropriate systems to manage associates' time.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or ten years' experience as a supervisor in a manufacturing or food environment.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are helpful but not required.
  • Computer Skills: Must be computer proficient with spreadsheets and word-processing.
  • Residency: Must reside within 15 miles of Bells, TN.
