Job Summary
As an Occupational Therapist I at Prisma Health, you will play a vital role in inspiring health and serving with compassion. You will plan and implement specific treatment programs for individual patients, adhering to the principles and practices of occupational therapy. Your expertise will be sought after by colleagues, and you will participate in operational and clinical functions for the department, hospital, and corporation. You will provide direction and assistance to Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapist Assistants, Occupational Therapy Students, and Therapy Aides in patient care. You will comply with laws and regulations of appropriate state and federal agencies and Joint Commission guidelines. An advanced level of clinical and interpersonal skills are required. Behaviours that support the purpose statements of the department and hospital are expected.Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough initial occupational therapy evaluations and re-evaluations, designing an occupational therapy plan of care that addresses the patient's needs - 25%
- Implement and manage a specific and comprehensive treatment plan, participating in patient discharge planning - 15%
- Actively participate in patient and family education process, providing education and training to patients, families, and caregivers - 10%
- Comply with departmental policies for documentation, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of assessment, planning, treatment, and discharge - 10%
- Supervise and mentor Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy Assistants, and Rehab Aides, exercising sound judgment in delegating tasks - 10%
- Meet productivity standards, maintaining efficient scheduling to ensure appropriate levels of productivity - 10%
- Achieve annual goals, establishing objectives related to corporate and department initiatives - 10%
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an NBCOT-approved program
Licensed by SC Board of OT
