Job Title: PT EMT Instructor

Foothill De Anza Community College District is seeking a qualified candidate to join our team as a Part-Time EMT Instructor. The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching EMT courses and contributing to the development of our students.

Job Summary:

The EMT Instructor will be responsible for teaching EMT courses, evaluating student work, and participating in the assessment of their performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of emergency medical techniques and a passion for teaching.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach EMT courses to students
  • Evaluate student work and provide feedback
  • Participate in the assessment of student performance
  • Contribute to the development of EMT curriculum
Working Conditions:

The EMT Instructor will work in an indoor office environment and will be required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time. The ideal candidate will have good hearing and speaking skills, as well as the ability to lift and carry objects up to 20 pounds.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Understanding of and sensitivity to the diverse academic, socio-economic, ethnic, religious, and cultural backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff
  • Minimum qualifications for this position as defined in the Minimum Qualifications for Faculty and Administrators in California Community Colleges
