Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team at California Foot & Ankle Centers. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and assemble medical records, charts, and documentation for doctors and clinicians
  • Set up exam or procedure rooms with proper supplies, instruments, and equipment
  • Assist with charting, coding, and documentation using electronic medical record applications
  • Update patient history, physical exams, and other health information
  • Prepare and send documentation to doctors for review and approval
  • Monitor lab results and screening procedures
  • Accompany clinicians into patient examination rooms to transcribe patient information
  • Prepare plans for follow-up care and assist with check-in, check-out, and follow-up procedures
  • Provide advanced support to providers, including documenting phone calls and lab reports
  • Comply with hospital, medical facility, and office policies, including HIPAA
Requirements
  • Professional demeanor and knowledge of medical terminology and human anatomy
  • Skilled in operating medical record software, word-processing, and database software programs
  • Ability to efficiently type and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and speak fluent English
  • Spanish conversationally fluent a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
