Job Summary:
As a Research Assistant in Nutrition Care, you will play a crucial role in supporting the study of human nutrition at the Human Nutrition Research Center USDA. This part-time position requires a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) who can work effectively in a healthcare environment. Your responsibilities will include monitoring and charting subjects' health problems, dispensing medications, and collecting vital signs. You will also be responsible for maintaining logbooks and supervising subjects' daily activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and chart subjects' health problems using a narrative format.
  • Dispense medications and take verbal orders from the physician.
  • Collect and record subjects' vital signs and chart collected research data.
  • Perform routine blood and urine sample processing.
  • Supervise subjects' daily activities and recreational events.

Requirements:
  • CNA Certification.
  • Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
  • Knowledge of relevant nursing care.
  • Friendly and professional bedside manner.

Working Conditions:
This position requires a 12-hour shift, 2 weeks a month, and may involve working night shifts or weekends as needed.
