Job Overview

Brainlab, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Engineer to join our team as a Surgical Navigation Expert. This role will involve providing on-site consulting, guidance, and assistance to physicians and OR personnel to maximize IGS product efficiency and usage.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biomedical engineering, clinical engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a technical support role, preferably in a healthcare company or provider. Additionally, 1-2 years of sales experience with a healthcare company is preferred.

The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing, resolving, and repairing product issues through detailed analysis and utilization of engineering expertise. They will also direct and assist Radiology staff in performing necessary scans prior to surgery, educate and train physicians and hospital personnel on the use of IGS products and services, and develop and conduct training programs for hospital staff.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading digital surgery company and contribute to the quality improvement process by recommending product modifications. The role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site consulting, guidance, and assistance to physicians and OR personnel
  • Analyze, resolve, and repair product issues
  • Direct and assist Radiology staff in performing necessary scans
  • Educate and train physicians and hospital personnel on IGS products and services
  • Develop and conduct training programs for hospital staff
  • Contribute to the quality improvement process by recommending product modifications

Requirements:

  • B.S. in Biomedical Engineering, Biomechanical Engineering, Bioengineering, Clinical Engineering, or Nursing
  • 1-3 years of experience in a technical support role, preferably in a healthcare company or provider
  • 1-2 years of sales experience with a healthcare company preferred
  • Knowledge of surgical procedures, anatomy, and medical terminology preferred
  • Proficient in the use of PC software applications, including Microsoft Office
