Position Overview
Key Responsibilities:
We are in search of a skilled electronic security installation technician to enhance our dynamic workforce.
Primary Duties:
This role encompasses various responsibilities including: overseeing projects in the field, programming systems, activating and commissioning projects, installing field devices, and critically, servicing sophisticated integrated security systems. Some travel may be necessary.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in the installation and maintenance of:
- Enterprise-level access control systems
- Enterprise-level video management systems
- Networking and IT proficiency.
- Exceptional problem-solving and communication abilities (with both internal staff and external clients)
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
- Familiarity with local electronic security regulations and industry standards.
- Understanding of safety protocols in a chemical plant environment.
- Capability to operate a company vehicle safely.
- Willingness to mentor entry-level technicians on procedures and processes.
- Ability to climb ladders and operate bucket trucks safely.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Visio, MS Project, and other Microsoft applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in Access Control Systems from Software House, Genetec, ProWatch, and/or Lenel.
- Certifications in Video Management Systems from Genetec, OnSSI, MaxPro, Avigilon, and/or Milestone.
- Experience with computer operating systems, network design, and implementation.
- Possession of a TWIC Card.
