Pediatric Gastroenterology RN Nurse Leader Job Description

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Gastroenterology RN Nurse Leader to join our team. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and leading the nursing team in the Pediatric Gastroenterology Division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide competent and compassionate nursing care to patients and families
  • Coordinate and oversee the activities of the Pediatric Gastroenterology nursing team
  • Train and oversee the daily activities of clinical support staff
  • Facilitate excellence in patient care delivery within nursing scope of practice
  • Ensure compliance with departmental procedures and protocols, as well as hospital and regulatory policies and practices

Requirements:

  • Demonstrates clinical knowledge and critical thinking in the care of pediatric gastroenterology patients
  • Demonstrates leadership/managerial potential, including interpersonal competence and organizational skills
  • Ability to delegate and prioritize for self and others
  • Ability to analyze complex situations and implement problem-solving skills
  • Strong planning, time management, and organizational skills with an ability to multitask
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated initiative and leadership skills, interest, and enthusiasm for change, willingness to take on new challenges, ability to inspire other team members
