Job Purpose

The Estimator will play a critical role in shaping our company's short and long-term capital budgets by preparing accurate and timely construction estimates for complex or non-complex electric construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed estimates for construction projects, including materials, engineering, permitting, environmental compliance, construction, labor, and equipment.
  • Analyze key themes and trends to ensure all factors are properly considered, priced, and included in the project estimate.
  • Determine and apply contingency to ensure accurate risk assessment and estimation.
  • Revise and update estimating system software to enhance efficiency and operability.
  • Monitor year-on-year accuracy of estimated costs and challenge business processes to ensure compliance with regulations and on-budget project delivery.
  • Consult and collaborate with vendors, personnel in other departments, and engineers to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or Associate Degree with 2+ years of relevant work experience or 5+ years of relevant work experience and training.
  • Proficient MS Office computer skills, including Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with proven interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work and interact with various team members during all phases of projects.
  • Valid driver's license with a safe driving history.
