Capital Project Manager Job Summary

The Capital Project Manager will oversee the organization, management, and planning of complex projects for Metro Community Health Center's research, development, and product implementation efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead an interdepartmental team to complete assigned projects on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Manage and oversee all phases of project execution, including cost analysis, budget preparation, and risk assessment.
  • Delegate tasks, conduct cost-benefit analysis, and prepare and implement project budgets.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, report to management, and provide recommendations for risk mitigation.
  • Act as a liaison between the company, customers, and vendors, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Manage the construction and start-up of new, FDA-regulated buildings, ensuring compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations.
  • Anticipate and identify areas of tactical and strategic risk, mitigating risks through early risk assessments and implementation of fallback/mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to provide training and information required to promote and sell new projects, programs, and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Computer Science, Business, or Engineering.
  • Five years of management experience in project or construction management.
  • Project team leadership and mentoring experience.
  • At least three years of related experience required.
  • PMP, PgMP, CAPM, and/or comparable project management certifications highly desirable.
Abilities:
  • Ability to act as a liaison between multiple parties.
  • Understanding of problem and team building techniques.
  • Possess an extensive understanding of construction delivery methods and techniques.
  • Able to influence and build work relationships among a diverse workforce.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
