Radiologic Technologist-Computed Tomography Specialist

Integrated Resources seeks a skilled Radiologic Technologist-Computed Tomography to join our team. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality computed tomographic radiological procedures on patients. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring accurate diagnoses and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare patients for computed tomographic examinations, explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Review clinical data and perform appropriate examinations, utilizing your knowledge of radiology and computed tomography to obtain high-quality images.
- Obtain additional information about patients' medical histories as necessary, ensuring comprehensive care.
- Prepare procedure rooms, replenish stock, and maintain a clean and organized environment.
- Operate computed tomography equipment, manually controlling settings to obtain optimal diagnostic information.
- Administer intravenous contrast media, utilizing power injectors as needed.
- Monitor patients for potential reactions, providing immediate care if necessary.
- Assist radiologists in performing complex sterile diagnostic procedures, such as biopsies.
- Perform all imaging procedures, adhering to principles of radiation protection and ensuring patient safety.
- Resolve image exceptions and ensure high-quality image delivery into the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
- Complete study indexing in the Radiology Information System (RIS), ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Review and confirm clinical protocols with radiologists before performing studies.
- Demonstrate exceptional teamwork, initiative, and a commitment to learning, embracing diversity and promoting a positive work environment.
- Document patient information and study details in the medical record and RIS, supporting clinical and billing functions.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and hold advanced registry in Computed Tomography (CT) or be registry-eligible.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- May work in a hospital setting or an ambulatory mobile unit.
- May be exposed to radiation if proper precautions are not taken.
- May be exposed to high-voltage equipment and potentially contagious patients.
- Occasionally may lift and/or move equipment and/or patients exceeding 10 pounds.
