Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Pathologist to join our team at The Arc Jefferson - St. Lawrence. As a Speech Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing clinical services to children and adults with communication disorders. This is a full-time position that requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care and working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary treatment team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and assess individuals with communication disorders to develop personalized treatment plans
  • Provide direct speech services to children and adults, including speech and language evaluations and treatments
  • Collaborate with other professionals to develop and implement individualized service plans
  • Consult with family members and other agencies to ensure continuity of care
  • Document services and maintain accurate records
Requirements
  • Licensed by New York State Education Department as a Speech Pathologist
  • Provisional certification as NYS Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped or NYS Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD)
  • Specialized training or one year experience in treatment of people with developmental disabilities preferred
  • Certificate of Clinical Competency by American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA)
Work Environment

This position operates in a professional office environment and a clinical and classroom setting. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain confidentiality at all times.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $31.21-$35.58/hour, based on education and experience. Additionally, we offer a sign-on bonus of $10,000 for full-time licensed Speech Pathologists payable in equal installments over 5 years.
