Research Assistant Professor

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Assistant Professor to join our team at the Center for Biomedical and Health Research in Data Science at UMass Lowell. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to ongoing population-based epidemiologic research projects on cardiovascular, substance use, and mental health research.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and guide data analyses to inform research projects
- Contribute to and lead manuscripts and new research proposals
- Mentor post-docs and graduate students in data science and research methodologies
- PhD in Epidemiology or a related field
- Strong statistical analysis and data programming skills using SAS, SAS/SQL, Stata MP, R
- Strong track record of first- and co-authored publications
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Postdoctoral training in epidemiology or a related field
- Experience with BIG health data, including health insurance claims, and electronic medical records
- Opportunities to collaborate with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Health Services Research & Development Service and other major medical centers
