Job Summary

Mission Regional Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver safe and effective patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice, including administering medications, performing procedures, and documenting patient information.
  • Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing care.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, other healthcare professionals, and patients to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Current and valid state RN license.
  • Current BLS certification upon hire and maintain current.
  • Current ACLS certification 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
  • Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
  • Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
  • Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; E.R. setting preferred.
  • Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Facility-Specific Requirements
  • In Paramedic Base Station ED: MICN within 12 months of hire and maintain current.
  • 2 EDAP certified facilities: Completion of emergency pediatric course 1 and 2 within 6 months of hire. Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNNC) within 12 months of hire required.
