Plumber Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber to join our team at MKH Developments Inc. As a Plumber, you will be responsible for installing new services on new houses, locating and marking pipe positions, and cutting openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install new services on new houses, including plumbing finishing and equipment as per plans.
  • Locate and mark the position of pipe and pipe connections and passage holes for pipes in walls and floors, using ruler, spirit level, and plumb bob.
  • Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings, using hand tools and power tools.
  • Cut and thread pipe, using pipe cutters, cutting torch, and pipe-threading machine.
  • Study building plans and working drawings to determine work required and sequence of installations.
  • Inspect structure to ascertain obstructions to be avoided to prevent weakening of structure resulting from the installation of pipe.
  • Calculate material take-off and order materials as needed.
  • Soldering of 2 1/2" + pipe.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of plumbing commercial and/or residential experience/Journeyman required.
  • 3 + years of plumbing commercial and/or residential experience required.
  • CSLB license preferred but not required.
  • Licenses for plumbing, mechanical, and gas an asset.
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, layouts, and specifications (structural, architectural, civil, plumbing, and cut sheets).
  • Must be organized and maintain a clean work site.
  • Able to work with a vast range of materials and know the proper installation of products listed below but not limited to:
  • PVC DWV sch 40.
  • CPVC sch 40 & 80.
  • PEX.
  • Uponor.
  • Carriers for WC, EWC, Lav, and urinals.
  • Hangers and supports Roof drains.
  • Water heaters.
  • Boilers.
  • Set all types of fixtures for the finish.
  • Working knowledge of installing electrical systems in a new construction setting.
  • Valid driver's license and own reliable transportation.
  • Positive attitude.
