Key Responsibilities:

  • The instructional support specialist offers advanced assistance and guidance to educators and administration. Responsible for aiding teachers with both instructional and behavioral management tasks.
  • Assists students with in-class assignments and contributes to the preparation and evaluation of student work.
  • May also provide support in the Library Media Center or the Computer Lab.
  • Delivers instruction to linguistically diverse students in English only.
  • Implements Montessori teaching strategies and methods in a classroom environment.
  • Engages in the parent education program.
  • Develops materials for Montessori classrooms and collaborates with peers and assistants on staff activities.
  • Must possess the ability to meet the physical demands of the position, with or without accommodations. For Special Education positions, physical demands apply.
