Position Overview

The Quality Assurance Specialist will be instrumental in guaranteeing that products are packaged accurately and adhere to quality benchmarks prior to dispatching to clients. The primary goal of the QA Specialist is to detect and correct flaws or inconsistencies from set quality standards to uphold superior product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect packaged goods to confirm they align with defined quality specifications, including weight, size, appearance, and labeling.
  • Ensure compliance of all packaging materials and procedures with applicable industry regulations and standards, such as FDA guidelines for food packaging or ASTM criteria for materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, testing outcomes, and any discrepancies from quality standards.
  • Reject any products and materials that do not meet quality expectations.
  • Identify areas for process enhancement and propose modifications to improve efficiency and product quality.
  • Investigate the underlying causes of quality concerns, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and suggest corrective and preventive measures to avert future issues.
  • Foster open and effective communication with production personnel, quality assurance teams, and management to ensure alignment on quality objectives and expectations.
  • Emphasize safety within the manufacturing environment, ensuring that quality control tasks are performed safely and in accordance with safety protocols.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Quality control certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a related position.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Strong mathematical, technical, and communication skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of quality control standards and testing methodologies.

Shift Availability:

Available for 2nd and 3rd shifts only.

Compensation:

$22/hr - $24/hr.
