Your Daily Responsibilities:
- Lead engaging instruction across all subjects, including math, reading, writing, science, and social studies.
- Prepare and deliver instructional materials aligned with our curriculum standards.
- Communicate effectively with families regarding student behavior and academic progress.
- Maintain high expectations for both academic performance and behavior.
- Utilize a warm and demanding approach to foster a positive classroom environment.
- Implement culturally responsive and restorative practices for community building.
- Participate in daily team huddles and conclude the day after student dismissal.
- Engage in weekly collaborative meetings with grade-level teams.
- Conduct one-on-one feedback sessions with your coach on a regular basis.
- Facilitate portions of school assemblies and participate in various meetings as required.
- Actively engage in professional development focused on enhancing school culture and academic outcomes.
- Perform additional duties to support the school community and student success.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree.
- A valid Multiple Subject teaching credential or equivalent.
- Authorization to teach English Learners.
- A strong belief in the potential for all students to succeed.
- Experience working with students from low-income backgrounds is preferred.
