Position Summary:
We are in search of a meticulous and skilled Proposal Coordinator to support our Estimating Department. This role is pivotal in assisting estimators and the business development unit in securing projects for our operational teams. Responsibilities include analyzing project specifications, crafting bid submissions, liaising with subcontractors, and monitoring project timelines. Exceptional organizational, communication, and technical skills are vital for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate effectively with estimators and the business development unit to secure projects for operational teams.
- Analyze project specifications to assess eligibility for both governmental and private contracts.
- Draft and submit formal bid documents for governmental and private sector contracts.
- Engage with prospective subcontractors to gather pricing and qualification documentation for bid submissions.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all communications and monitor deadlines.
- Assist in the preparation of internal qualification documents, including project references, employee resumes, certifications, and licenses.
- Address various internal requests for support within the Estimating Department.
- Perform general administrative duties as required, such as managing shipments and ordering office supplies.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related discipline is preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Experience in the construction sector is preferred.
