We are seeking a highly skilled Hospital Pharmacist II to join our team at Trinity Health. As a key member of our pharmacy department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Review, prepare, and dispense medication orders according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Ensure safe, appropriate, and cost-effective medication therapies for patients.
- Contribute to the quality and effective operation of the department.
- Provide clinical consultation and clarification to practitioners.
- Provide drug information and counseling to patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in the training, education, precepting, and evaluation of pharmacy students and/or residents.
- Provide work direction to pharmacy support personnel.
- Minimum Five year Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy.
- Preferred Advanced training in at least one specialty clinical area.
- Minimum Current registered pharmacist license and controlled substance license issued by the Michigan State Board of Pharmacy.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification may be required.
Potential for exposure to infectious patients and materials. Potential for exposure to hazardous and toxic substances. Potential for sticks or cuts by needles and other sharp items. Potential for muscoloskeletal injuries if proper lifting and carrying techniques are not used.
