After School Matters is a Chicago-based nonprofit organization that has been empowering Chicago's high school teens to explore and develop their talents for over 30 years. Our mission is to provide high-quality, paid apprenticeships and programs that foster youth development, academic success, and career readiness.
Job Title: Director of Program SupportsWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as the Director of Program Supports. In this role, you will oversee the development and implementation of programs that support the growth and success of our teens, including program gap assessment, portfolio management, and community relations.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance program quality and effectiveness
- Manage a team of program specialists and instructors to ensure high-quality program delivery
- Collaborate with community partners and stakeholders to identify and address community needs
- Develop and manage budgets to ensure efficient use of resources
- Provide leadership and guidance to program teams to ensure quality improvement and innovation
- Master's degree in a related field (e.g., education, youth development, non-profit management)
- 8+ years of experience in program management, youth development, or a related field
- Proven track record of program development, implementation, and evaluation
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience supervising teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
