Job Overview

As an Activity Coordinator, you will play a vital role in providing habilitation services to clients in a safe and secure environment. Your primary responsibilities will include coordinating and providing activities that promote socialization, recreation, and independent living skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching problem-solving and independent living skills to clients
  • Completing and posting activity calendars by the first of every month
  • Facilitating social recreation activities within the facility and the community
  • Completing incident reports and charting within 24 hours
  • Providing weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled
  • Assisting with DSP responsibilities during downtime or when floor coverage is needed
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance
  • Excellent time management, organization, and flexibility
  • Ability to communicate clearly, tactfully, and professionally
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position
Preferred Qualifications
  • Good teamwork mentality and client-focused work ethic
  • Prior experience working with adults who have chronic mental health challenges
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet agency driving requirements
  • Prior experience with health care documentation
  • CPR/First Aid certification
