Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

Iowa Orthopaedic Center PC is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our medical staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to our Center of Excellence in orthopedic care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct patients to exam rooms, obtain patient history and vitals, and prepare patients for imaging procedures.
  • Pull x-rays and MRIs as needed, upload images brought on CD by patients, and assist physicians and x-ray techs with procedures as requested.
  • Assist patients with dressing, transport, and transfers, and apply casts and splints as directed by physicians.
  • Accurately schedule and reschedule appointments, collect specimens, and prepare equipment for autoclave as needed.
  • Document patient information in our electronic medical record system and prepare paper charts for upcoming appointments.
Requirements:
  • Current RT(R) certificate or degree, CPR Certification, and Mandatory Reporter Certification.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to read and interpret documents, and ability to document patient care accurately and concisely.
  • Ability to work on your feet for long periods and lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
