Position Overview:

As a Senior Bridge/Structural Engineer at Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you will take charge of directing design and planning initiatives while executing structural assessments and designs for various types of structures, including highways, railroads, and pedestrian pathways. We seek a passionate and driven individual who is eager to provide both management and technical guidance to a skilled team of professionals across different experience levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee multi-disciplinary teams to successfully deliver bridge projects or manage bridge/structural components within project teams, including the production of plans and reports;
  • Contribute to the formulation of project proposals, scopes, and timelines;
  • Assist in developing, tracking, and managing engineering budgets;
  • Act as a quality assurance reviewer and mentor for a team of bridge/structural engineers;
  • Collaborate with sub-consultants and internal technical staff to ensure project deadlines are met.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on structural engineering (Master's degree preferred);
  • Ohio Professional Engineer registration or the ability to obtain it within six months;
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in bridge design;
  • Strong technical expertise in bridge/structural design and analysis;
  • Experience leading Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build projects;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Experience in marketing, business development, project pursuits, and proposal preparation is a plus;
  • Familiarity with Microstation and/or Civil 3D software.
