Cardiovascular Cath Lab Registered Nurse

MLee Healthcare Staffing and Recruiting, Inc is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join one of our affiliate Cardiac Catheterization Lab teams.

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse assumes responsibility for devising, executing, and assessing a patient care plan based on ANA Standards and the Nursing Process. They serve as a patient advocate, offering support, information, and hands-on care.

Responsibilities
  • Perform pre-procedure assessments of patients scheduled for cardiac catheterization procedures.
  • Assist cardiologists and cardiovascular technologists during diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cath Lab.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and condition throughout procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Administer medications and intravenous fluids as directed by the cardiologist.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed.
  • Educate patients and their families about cardiac procedures, risks, and post-procedure care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adherence to regulatory standards within the Cath Lab.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans and ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Respond effectively to emergencies and critical situations in the Cath Lab, following established protocols and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Graduate of an approved school of radiology
  • Licensed and currently registered as a Registered Nurse in the state in which you reside
  • Critical Care experience preferred
