Cardiovascular Catheterization Lab - RN

MLee Healthcare Staffing and Recruiting, Inc is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Catheterization Lab team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for devising, executing, and assessing patient care plans based on ANA Standards and the Nursing Process. They will serve as a patient advocate, offering support, information, and hands-on care. The Registered Nurse will be proficient in the use of medical equipment and technology, demonstrating technical competence in nursing procedures. They will educate patients and families on essential self-care matters and may also handle the inventory, distribution, and delivery of medications as needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform pre-procedure assessments of patients scheduled for cardiac catheterization procedures.
  • Assist cardiologists and cardiovascular technologists during diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cath Lab.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and condition throughout procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Administer medications and intravenous fluids as directed by the cardiologist.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed.
  • Educate patients and their families about cardiac procedures, risks, and post-procedure care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adherence to regulatory standards within the Cath Lab.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans and ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Respond effectively to emergencies and critical situations in the Cath Lab, following established protocols and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an approved school of radiology
  • Licensed and currently registered as a Registered Nurse in the state in which you reside
  • Critical Care experience preferred
