Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Geisinger Health System. This is a full-time position with a competitive compensation and benefits package.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations, utilizing proper patient position, identification, and exposure techniques.
  • Operate and maintain all equipment within the modality, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Set up and adjust immobilization and radiation protective equipment and devices, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Review and analyze patient body size, thickness, age, physical condition, and suspected pathology to perform examinations effectively.
  • Assist physicians with various procedures, providing support and expertise as needed.
  • Report equipment malfunctions and the need for adjustments or repairs, ensuring prompt resolution.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient examinations and procedures.
  • Participate in Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures, contributing to the improvement of imaging services.
  • Collaborate with students and other healthcare professionals to provide educational training and support.
Requirements
  • Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Certified Radiology Technologist within 24 months, American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
