Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervising Public Health Nurse to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work closely with the Disease Control team, management, and the community to ensure that diseases are reported and investigated in a timely and appropriate manner.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the hiring, education, supervision, and evaluation of public health staff
- Work closely with management on contract budgets and grants to ensure program compliance and fiscal responsibility
- Act as a liaison with the state regarding issues related to disease control and provide consultation for complex or unusual cases by engaging subject matter experts
- Collaborate with state branches and community partners to address reportable and emerging diseases, ensuring proper reporting and investigation protocols
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment that promotes cross-training and the ability to assist with other team members' work as needed
- Possession of a California State Public Health Nursing Certificate
- Three years of responsible public health nursing experience obtained after receipt of a California Public Health Nursing Certificate
- Driver's License: Possession of a valid driver's license at the appropriate level including necessary special endorsements, as required by the State of California to perform the essential job functions of the position
