Job Summary

Matcor is a leading provider of cathodic protection and corrosion prevention engineering design and manufacturing services. We are seeking a skilled Construction Worker with a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Driller and other field workers with all field activities, including equipment setup, material transportation, and site preparation.
  • Drive safely and courteously on public and customer roads, obeying all traffic laws and company regulations.
  • Load and unload trucks at customer sites or the yard, inspecting equipment and supplies as needed.
  • Maintain accurate DOT logs and perform pre- and post-trip inspections.
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs, such as tire changes and light bulb replacements.
  • Secure cargo and assist with inventorying crew trucks.
  • Perform related tasks, including yard maintenance and other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) from the state of residence
  • Minimum 3 months of driving experience
  • Pass a minimum 6-month DOT physical, pre-placement drug screen, and satisfactory background check
  • Have an acceptable driving record in accordance with Matcor's Vehicle Policy
  • Demonstrate ability to work safely and adhere to all safety rules and regulations
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative in performing work in the field
  • Ability to use an electronic time tracking system
  • Ability to lift and carry 75 lbs.
  • Willingness to travel and work long hours, including 12-hour shifts
  • Ability to work well with others and be willing to learn from mentors and others in the shop and field
