Key Responsibilities- Provide legal counsel and transaction support on a variety of strategic and commercial deals, working closely with our commercial and healthcare partnership teams.
- Coordinate and consult with Legal colleagues to account for multiple legal perspectives and provide clients with broadly scoped legal advice.
- Draft and negotiate a variety of agreements, including enterprise sales, health network partnerships, and general commercial agreements, ensuring alignment with legal requirements and business objectives.
- Advise and educate clients on legal issues pertinent to various transactions, including regulatory obligations and limitations, to inform their decision making and execution.
- Collaborate with Legal and cross-functional colleagues to obtain stakeholder input and alignment, driving forward progress and delivering timely, clear, pragmatic, and solutions-oriented advice to the business.
- J.D. from an ABA accredited law school and an active member in good standing with the Bar in any state.
- 3+ years of complex commercial transaction experience.
- 5+ years of legal practice experience.
- Strong team orientation that facilitates communication and cooperation across teams and functions.
- Sound judgment on when and how to surface and escalate issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A mixture of law firm and in-house experience preferred.
- Healthcare experience or exposure strongly preferred, including knowledge of fraud waste and abuse laws, telehealth regulations, direct primary care, value-based care, state and federal risk-bearing organization laws, HIPAA, and ERISA issues.
This is a full-time hybrid role based in New York City, San Francisco, Seattle, or Washington, D.C. One Medical is an equal opportunity employer and encourages all applicants from every background and life experience. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets, with a base pay range of $138,500/year to $229,000/year, depending on the location.
