About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission. As a PRN nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, collaborating with patients, families, peers, physicians, and other healthcare team members to deliver exceptional care.
  • Coordinate the efforts of the multidisciplinary care team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Implement a plan of care based on identified physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs.
  • Actively participate in bedside shift report, safety huddles, multidisciplinary patient rounds, and hourly rounding to gather information and provide for a smooth hand-off to other team members.
  • Provide patient teaching and discharge planning to promote optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Kansas Registered Nurse License
  • BCLS obtained through the American Heart Association
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or obtained within 4 years of employment
