KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Engage in the design and execution of automation systems for process industry projects, ensuring effective communication with clients.
- Participate in all stages of automation projects, from initial engineering to detailed design, configuration, implementation, and commissioning.
- Initially, the role requires working on-site with clients, followed by a transition to Wood's regional office.
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical or Electrical Engineering is preferred; however, a Technical Diploma with relevant experience will also be considered.
- A Professional Engineering License is advantageous.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in automation design and implementation.
- Extensive hands-on experience with DCS and SIS platforms is essential, particularly with Honeywell systems.
- Experience in control systems integration within the oil & gas or energy sectors is preferred.
- Strong understanding of systems platforms, operating systems, and their interactions.
- Proficient in P&IDs and instrumentation/control equipment.
- Solid knowledge of relational databases, application interfaces, and Human Machine Interface design.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required.
