Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and direct a team of service technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the necessary tools and resources to perform their duties effectively.
  • Service Operations: Perform PM services and emergency maintenance, ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and functioning within specifications.
  • Technical Support: Provide first-point-of-contact technical support for assigned technicians, including troubleshooting, emergency repair assistance, and parts delivery.
  • Performance Evaluation: Evaluate the performance of assigned service technicians, recommending training enhancements and coaching to improve technical knowledge and overall performance.
  • Training and Development: Develop and administer training programs to enhance technical knowledge and skills among service technicians.
  • Quality Control: Work with the Technical Service Manager to execute the quality control program, ensuring targets are achieved through proper documentation.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Measure, review, and maintain superior customer satisfaction levels, resolving customer concerns as necessary.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive and promote continuous improvement of field operations, implementing quality procedures and best practices.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Certifications: Generac Master Technician certification and training certification required.
  • Skills: High level of expertise with switchgear, positive attitude, strong customer service skills, ability to manage a team of technicians, fluency in written and spoken English, and intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Physical Demands: Lifting and carrying heavy objects, up to 75lbs, will be required, as well as ascending or descending ladders, scaffolding, stairs, ramps, and the like using feet/legs and/or hands/arms.
  • Work Conditions: The technician may be required to work in various weather conditions, frequently working near moving mechanical parts.
Additional Information
  • Criminal background check, pre-employment drug screen, and MVR required.
  • Must be able to pass a Department of Transportation physical examination.
  • This is a remote position and will require the employee to work from home.
