Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team at Elbit Systems. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and delivering high-quality software for complex medical instruments.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop reliable, high-quality software for medical devices, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive software requirements and integrate with system requirements.
- Participate in software project risk analysis and hazard analysis, ensuring the highest level of quality and safety.
- Develop and maintain software project documents, including software development plans and detailed software design documents.
- Utilize software engineering best practices, such as unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews.
- Work cooperatively with the software group and across disciplines to deliver projects on-time and on-budget.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or related discipline (Master's degree preferred).
- 10 or more years of relevant experience developing software for complex medical instruments or devices.
- Demonstrated experience in object-oriented design methodology and programming languages, primarily C# and C++.
- Understanding of revision control systems and issue tracking systems.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment, with strong oral and written communication skills.
- Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously, with good organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with medical device regulatory standards, such as 21 CFR Part 11, IEC, and ISO.
- Experience with software configuration tools, such as CVS, SVN, PerForce, and issue tracking systems, such as Mantis and Jira.
- Leadership skills and experience as a SW Team Leader.
- Experience working directly with customers and MS Project skills.
