Position Overview:

We are in search of a proactive and experienced Facilities Operations Manager within the Aerospace sector. This role presents a unique opportunity for an individual with a robust background in facility management, particularly in a manufacturing context. The successful candidate will oversee all facets of our manufacturing facilities, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards at all times. Responsibilities include managing facility upkeep, space optimization, renovations, construction initiatives, and equipment maintenance. The ideal candidate will possess bilingual capabilities in Spanish, a strong grasp of health, safety, and environmental regulations, and exemplary leadership qualities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise daily operations of manufacturing facilities, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Design and implement facility maintenance strategies, including preventive measures and repair tasks.
  • Coordinate space utilization, renovations, and construction efforts.
  • Oversee facilities and equipment installation, repair, and maintenance programs.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Plan and manage ground services effectively.
  • Conduct regular safety training and drills for all personnel.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies or equipment malfunctions.
  • Develop and manage the facilities budget to ensure cost-effective operations.
  • Collaborate with external contractors and vendors as necessary.
  • Actively engage in planning and executing facility enhancements and expansions.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in facility management within the manufacturing sector, preferably in aerospace with a composite focus.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing facility maintenance, space planning, renovations, and construction projects.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage facilities and equipment installation, repairs, and maintenance programs.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in facility management software and systems.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
  • Ability to respond effectively to emergencies and high-pressure situations.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
