About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct thorough assessments of patients through interviews, observations, tests, and medical history reviews to accurately diagnose mental health conditions.
  • Treatment Planning: Develop comprehensive treatment plans and prescribe medication as needed to address patients' mental health needs.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Consult with other medical professionals and psychologists to ensure comprehensive care, and regularly follow up with patients to check progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Thoroughly document each patient's diagnosis, symptoms, medication, treatment effectiveness, and other relevant information.
  • Patient Support and Education: Provide patients with emotional support and strategies to help manage their disorder, and stay up-to-date with new developments in psychiatry and mental health.
Requirements
  • Education and Licensure: Must have an active NY State License and be Board Certified or Board Eligible.
  • Experience: Must have relevant experience in psychiatry and mental health.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a team environment, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
