Position Overview
We are seeking an Engineering Team Lead to oversee our software development division. This role entails managing all facets of software development at Shades of Light, encompassing requirements analysis, system enhancements, application creation, server and database oversight, and vendor coordination. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with extensive knowledge in software and web development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the complete development lifecycle of Shades of Light's software systems, including the creation and deployment of new applications and enhancements.
- Supervise the design, development, and execution of system software upgrades.
- Establish and maintain an effective code review process for the development team.
- Engage in cross-functional collaborations to assess and improve the architecture and performance of our e-commerce platform.
- Act as the subject matter expert for development projects and the codebase.
- Set standards and audit criteria for development and testing practices.
- Facilitate effective communication across teams and departments to enhance overall organizational efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather insights on needs, objectives, functionalities, features, and requirements.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
- Provide leadership and support to the software and web development team, including daily management and professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
- A minimum of 5 years in development and engineering roles, with 1-2 years of experience in .NET development and NodeJS preferred.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, SQL, JavaScript, HTML, and VB.NET.
- Experience with Hana and Microsoft SQL is preferred.
- Expertise in database design and maintenance.
- Experience with implementing and consuming JSON APIs, SOAP, and REST.
- Familiarity with SAP B1 is preferred.
