Position Overview:
As an Associate Attorney, you will collaborate with a seasoned partner/mentor to advocate for corporate and insurer clients regarding workers' compensation claims. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Assessing and advising clients on relevant issues and the most effective strategies for claim resolution.
  • Representing clients in litigation, including attending hearings, depositions, oral arguments, mediations, and other legal proceedings.
  • Communicating with client representatives and claims adjusters.
  • Preparing and submitting necessary reports for clients.
  • Drafting motions and briefs to support client positions.
  • Negotiating settlements on behalf of clients.
Qualifications:
  • Strong critical thinking, judgment, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively engage with a diverse range of clients, attorneys, and staff.
  • Highly motivated and professional demeanor.
  • Proficient technology skills suitable for a paperless work environment.
  • Preferred: 2-3 years of experience in workers' compensation defense; candidates with at least one year of defense experience will also be considered.
  • Exceptional writing skills and strong academic credentials.
  • Must possess a Georgia State Bar License and a JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
