Position Summary
Are you ready to embark on an exciting healthcare journey in a dynamic admission unit? As the Education Coordinator, you will:
- Assess training requirements and engage in the planning, execution, and evaluation of staff development initiatives within your designated area of responsibility. You will demonstrate proficiency in the roles of educator, practitioner, manager, and researcher.
- Contribute to the formulation of the departmental budget. Serve as an educational consultant to nursing personnel. Create and deliver training materials.
- Assist in the development and production of educational resources.
- Manage logistics for training events by setting program agendas, coordinating venues and refreshments, and scheduling speakers.
- Act as a mentor in the development of nurse educators and/or nurse managers.
- Create strategies and materials to promote the availability of training programs. Maintain records of course participation. Design and conduct training sessions utilizing the most effective adult learning methodologies. Perform related duties as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications
- A valid, active, unencumbered Nursing license or a temporary permit approved by the relevant Licensing Board.
- A minimum of four years of nursing experience, including at least one year in an educational capacity.
BLS Certification Required, ACLS Preferred.
- A Master's degree is required, with a preference for an MSN in Nursing Education.
