Job Summary

The Accounting Clerk I role at Odle Management is a vital part of our finance team. As a key member, you will be responsible for performing general accounting clerical duties, including maintaining accounting files, entering data into the computer, and proofreading financial reports. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accounting files and records
  • Enter data into the computer and proofread financial reports
  • Process vendor invoices and prepare expenditure reports
  • Record, classify, and summarize invoices, work orders, and purchase orders
  • Prepare and reconcile the Lunch Ticket box daily
  • Assist in assembling and compiling financial data as requested
  • Maintain center records, ledgers, and journals
  • Coordinate the distribution of student allowances and payrolls
  • Compile and maintain records for payroll register and other financial data
  • Assist in preparing monthly financial reports

Requirements:

  • High School graduate or equivalent with courses in general accounting and bookkeeping
  • One year of experience as a general accounting clerk preferred
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record preferred

Additional Requirements:

  • Able to type accurately at a moderate speed
  • Some bookkeeping experience
  • Aptitude for mathematical computation
  • Ability to operate a computer and proficiency in mathematical spreadsheets
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively relate to trainee population
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written
