The HCA Houston ER 24/7 - Westchase is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Room team as a FSED (Fast-Track Emergency Department) nurse. As a critical care specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient-centered care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for assigned patients in a fast-paced emergency department environment.
- Collaborate with medical providers and other members of the care team to provide comprehensive and compassionate care.
- Participate in activities to plan, measure, assess, and improve the quality of patient care.
- Provide triage assessment for patients presenting for treatment and perform venipunctures for obtaining specimens for lab tests.
- Intervene in emergency, life-threatening situations and assume responsibility for charging the department as needed.
- Current Texas licensure with the State Board of Nurse Examiners.
- Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) required, Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and Certification within 6 months of hire.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support Course (PALS) and Certification within 6 months of hire.
- One year experience in Emergency Services (ED) (ER) (FSED).
