We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager in Partnership Tax to join our team at Wipfli LLP. As a key member of our Partnership Tax team, you will be responsible for conducting primary and secondary reviews of complex tax returns, providing tax consulting services to partnership clients, and collaborating with the team to make recommendations on return preparation and tax savings opportunities.
Responsibilities- Manage and coordinate tax compliance and advisory work for clients, ensuring accuracy, quality, and client service.
- Review Federal and Multi-State Partnership tax returns, identifying potential issues and opportunities for tax savings.
- Lead day-to-day client relationships, supporting partners with service execution and development of extended services.
- Consult on technical matters and special projects, utilizing tax-related software to prepare and process returns and research tax matters.
- Build relationships and communicate effectively with clients to provide superior service, responding to requests in a timely, accurate, positive, and professional manner.
- Participate in business development efforts, working with partners and marketing professionals to target and build relationships with prospects.
- Manage, train, and develop staff, and participate in the performance review process, adhering to prescribed budgets and deadlines.
- Develop technical competency and consult on various tax matters, primarily in Sub-chapter K-Partnership taxation.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- CPA certification, or progress towards obtaining, preferred in the respective state in which they are practicing.
- At least 3 years of job-related experience, with subject matter leadership in similar accounting and/or tax services.
- Management and/or mentoring experience with other staff members, with experience making recommendations to management.
- Prior public accounting experience desired.
