Hueman PE Talent Solutions is seeking a qualified remote Financial Operations Manager to oversee the accounting functions for our not-for-profit sector.

As a Financial Operations Manager, your primary responsibility will be to address the accounting requirements of our clients, which include but are not limited to: generating financial reports, conducting bank reconciliations, integrating payroll systems, managing accounts payable, and delivering other services offered by Hueman. You will act as the representative of Hueman, fostering and nurturing the relationship as the main point of contact and internal liaison for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Serve as the main liaison for multiple large and intricate accounts, ensuring timely delivery of financial reports while providing guidance to business owners and operations managers to enhance profitability.
  2. Establish and maintain strong relationships by engaging with clients and key stakeholders, delivering exceptional customer service.
  3. Identify and provide the appropriate resources and solutions for all services offered by Hueman to meet client needs.
  4. Collaborate closely with clients to resolve complex financial reporting issues, offering financial analysis and strategic advice.
  5. Implement best practices by leveraging various functions within Hueman to assist clients in optimizing their business operations.
  6. Lead, mentor, and support cross-functional teams dedicated to client service delivery.
  7. Ensure a referenceable client base by providing outstanding service in accordance with contractual guidelines.
  8. Address client concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction, escalating issues to management as necessary.
  9. Complete a monthly performance evaluation and meet with management to discuss outcomes and necessary follow-up actions.
  10. Utilize appropriate technology for effective communication, documentation, and follow-up with both internal and external stakeholders.
  11. Identify opportunities for Same Account Revenue Growth (SARG) and develop strategic plans to enhance service offerings.
  12. Notify management of any client changes that may affect revenue, such as new business ventures or closures.
  13. Build and maintain trust-based relationships by gaining insights into client operations, paving the way for additional service offerings.
  14. Provide executive-level partnership by conducting Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) in collaboration with division leadership, and participate in client executive meetings as needed.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business with a focus on accounting/finance, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, including financial statement analysis and presentations to executives.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to communicate effectively with business owners and executive teams.

Preferred:

  • Experience in accounting within the not-for-profit sector, as well as in business process outsourcing (BPO) or public accounting.
  • Proven ability to partner with clients to foster business growth.
