Job Title: Audit Director

At Bank of America, we are committed to excellence in audit and risk management. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit Director to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Audit Director will be responsible for managing business groups within Corporate Audit and executing on personnel, communication, and expense management activities. Key responsibilities include planning and developing the audit strategy, managing audit services, influencing business executives, and helping business partners balance business strategy with risk management controls.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate Corporate Audit's mission, goals, and strategies, and drive continuous improvement while demonstrating a strategic mindset and leading and supporting change.
  • Oversee audit teams to ensure timely execution of the audit plan within quality standards and in conformance to audit policies and procedures.
  • Leverage a risk mindset to proactively identify risks, analyze themes, and continually evaluate areas of priority against the company's risk profile and control environment.
  • Engage with senior leaders and influence business partners to balance business strategy with appropriate risk management controls.
  • Maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and leadership teams by proactively driving communications and discussing audit results.
  • Develop the audit coverage strategy and plan, assess risks, and provide appropriate coverage for current and/or emerging risks for assigned areas.
  • Manage team performance by training and mentoring, and attract, develop, and retain a diverse workforce through talent planning.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years Audit or risk control risk/controls background preferably in financial services.
  • Minimum 5 years in leadership role managing teams or organizations.
  • Ability to successfully communicate to influence management and lead change in both strategic and tactical initiatives.
  • Self-starter, desire to learn, able to teach others, positive attitude, exhibits flexibility.
  • Bachelor's degree and/or Advanced degree with relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Audit or risk control risk/controls background in financial services.
  • MBA.
  • Certified Internal Audit (CIA) certification.
  • Prior Analytical / Automation Skills (SQL, SAS, Python, Alteryx, Advanced Excel).
  • Advanced degree or certifications (CIA, CISA, etc.).
